About Dappled with Love

At Dappled with Love we pride ourselves on building meaningful relationships with our puppy families throughout the process and we want you to know where your forever companion is coming from.

We are an animal loving family of 6 living on our farm in South East Queensland. We have 4 children aged 2,5,9 and 11 who do distance education from home and are lucky enough to be growing up surrounded by happy, healthy animals of all sizes as important members of the family! 

We have dogs, miniature goats, miniature ponies, an old retired quarter horse and our Highland Cows on our little piece of paradise. (100+acres)

We got into breeding Dachshunds in 2021 after a long standing love of the breed and started researching every avenue of ethical breeding from genetics to conformation, temperament, disease management, desirable traits, enrichment and much much more before taking the leap and finding some incredible mentors to help us navigate as first time breeders. Since then we have grown our pack, built some amazing relationships with our families and others in the community and continue to breed quality puppies we are so so proud of.

Our puppies will arrive to you having been wormed regularly, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.

We feed our animals a healthy, mixed diet that allows families to continue this once they’ve arrived to you. We feed a mixture of high quality kibble, raw and Lyka.
Our puppies are raised inside our home, experiencing the sights, sounds and life of a typical family home ( the toddler tantrums and all). We go out of our way to ensure they are exposed to as many different real life experiences as possible to help built resilient, confident puppies. This means frequent gentle handling, wet grass, wildlife, dogs of all sizes, vehicles and much, much more.

We work to crate train our puppies before they leave and have them familiar and comfortable with designated toileting areas. It is unrealistic to expect an 8 week old puppy to be fully toilet trained but we start this process early to ensure they understand what is expected of them and will try their best.

All prices include flights to your closest major 

airport and travel crate. If flights are needed your puppy will have extra time spent ensuring they feel safe and comfortable inside their travel crate to ensure this is as smooth as possible for them.

Our puppies are sold on pet home contracts which gives both buyer and us peace of mind - this includes a no-questions asked return at any time policy if you should be unable to care for your dog for any reason.

We also send a puppy pack with our puppies to help them settle in to their new homes with may be either hand delivered, posted or arranged from your nearest pet store for a click and collect. These can be tailored to your individual needs at the time.
